Marc Bellon is one of the rare Swiss lawyers that is qualified in both medicine and law.
In 1997, Marc Bellon obtained a Federal Diploma in Medicine from the University of Geneva Faculty of Medicine. In 1998, he earned a Doctorate based on a thesis on Interventional Cardiology.
Between 1997 and 2002, he worked as a medical doctor within the Department of Surgery at Geneva University Hospital (HUG), and studied law in parallel.
In 2001, Marc Bellon earned his license in law and then completed a legal internship at the law firm of Maître Nicolas Gagnebin, through 2003. During this period, he also worked as an assistant to Professor Dominique Manaï in the Department of Civil Law of the University of Geneva. This experience increased Marc Bellon’s interest in the field of Human Rights within the health sector.
Marc Bellon was admitted to the Bar in December 2003.
Between 2005 and 2013, Marc Bellon worked as a Barrister in the Bellon & Campá law firm, and as the assistant to Professor Bénédict Foëx within the Department of Civil Law at the University of Geneva until 2007. This experience helped him gain a deeper understanding of Real Estate and Chattel Ownership Law.
In 2007, Marc Bellon received a Diploma for Advanced Studies in Real Estate and Criminal Law under the supervision of Professors Ursula Cassani and Bénédict Foëx. His research focused on the civil effects of criminal confiscation.
In 2014, Marc Bellon cofounded the Bellon, Sager & Baier law firm. His multi-disciplined studies and experiences working in Medicine and Law give him a unique understanding of criminal, civil and administrative cases involving all problems regarding health and in general all issues relating to medicolegal questions. Marc Bellon’s particular interest in Real Estate Law also allows him to offer a wide understanding of the clients’ needs and appropriate solutions in this area.
Finally, Marc Bellon still enjoys working as a general practitioner and is pleased to take on cases which involve more usual civil, criminal and administrative law. He is able to represent and support those requiring legal assistance in Court and to provide advice for situations outside of Court proceedings, such as contract law or social welfare law.

After studying Law in Geneva and Zurich, Florence Sager-Koenig obtained her license in law from the University of Geneva in 2006.
From 2006 to 2007, she worked as an assistant to Professor Ursula Cassani within the Department of Criminal Law at the University of Geneva. During this time, she worked on the research project “Internationalization of economic criminal law and criminal policy within Switzerland: fighting money laundering.”
Florence Sager-Koenig then completed her legal internship in the Rytz & Davoine law firm in Geneva and Nyon. She was admitted to the Bar in May 2010.
She practiced as an Associate within the Solutions Avocats law firm until 2013.
In 2012, together with Florian Baier, she founded the Alliance Lawyers network. This network of lawyers is established in the largest cities of Switzerland.
In 2014, Florence Sager-Koenig cofounded the Bellon, Sager & Baier legal firm as a Partner. She has since focused on developing her specialty in the field of family law and civil law, both in Court and outside judicial proceedings.
Florence Sager-Koenig practices primarily in the Cantons of Geneva and Vaud. She speaks French, German and English.
Florian Baier obtained his license in law from the University of Geneva in October 2000. He was admitted to the Bar in May 2003, after completing his internship with the Swiss Tenants’ Association (Asloca) law firm and in the Geneva Court of Justice.
He has practiced as an independent Lawyer at the Geneva Bar since 2003.
Between 2003 and 2009, he worked in parallel as a Clerk of the Court at the Labor Tribunal of the Canton of Geneva where he was involved in drafting judgements related to labor law.
In 2012, together with Florence Sager-Koenig, he founded the Alliance Lawyers network, which is established in the largest cities of Switzerland.
In 2014, Florian Baier cofounded the Bellon, Sager & Baier law firm where he now focuses on international criminal law, social welfare and medical law. He also practices civil law, with a particular interest in lease and inheritance law.
In 2016, he started a legal clinic in social welfare (invalidity insurance and accident insurance law) as well as medical law.
Florian Baier practices primarily in the Cantons of Geneva and Vaud. He speaks French, German and English.
